It may be just an emotional reaction to the word Rovian, which is now synonymous with dirty tricks and lies, That occurred to me, but the article defined "Rovian" in a neutral, textbook way. It most definitely wasn't a slur. But I suppose a careless reader still raw from the war could read "Rovian" and Obama in the same sentence and overreact.
