Enough of a force to be reckoned with. Barack Obama however is not one of them. He was/is sufficiently pragmatic not to have offended them and perhaps even somehow to have won them over. This does not, at all, mean that I think Barack will govern with a radical agenda. Barack is not a radical person. He is steady and rock solid - but above all - he knows right from wrong. Barack will govern by being himself and the center will just go along with him. They don't know what they want anyhow.
