"republicans are DEAD unless they retool to the center- NOW" Opening for a new party to form. Can become competitive post obama if repubs fail to follow your correct advice. PS you are also right about one party failing in the end for either party. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Thats the danger for the democracy however this has seemed to happen many times and our system tends to self correct. This all started btw because social issues that should be handled at local levels have become core to both parties platforms. Arguments about abortion, gay marriage need to be taken offline and be decided by states and courts. IF that were to happen christian cons can vote their true interests with either party. Talk about being exploited can you imagine poor out of work christians voting republican on social issues and voting against things like min wage and unemp benefits and healthcare. Well thats how bush and christian con leaders suckered them in to vote for bush.
