The Yes on 8 people ran a great campaign, and the No people didn't get organized until too late.

It is fascinating to see that, by and large, African Americans are generally against gay rights. The juxtaposition of Rachel Maddow sitting with black journalists who never thought they would see the day that a black person was elected president, discussing her disappointment with the impending passage of Prop 8, was startling. You could see in her face that she could taste the irony...

Well, we'll see what happens next. The reason the anti-gay people put this Prop up was to get it in the state constitution, where it is supposedly free of judicial review. But, I'm not sure that is true. I would assume that the SCOTUS could review it, no?

The march to equal rights takes a zigzag path.
