Ted, I don't know what's OR's problem is......I do know that OR votes exclusively by mail so I suspect counting all the votes is a slow process. I really don't think elections by mail are a good idea. If you send you ballot early, you do it based on incomplete information. And, why should it take more time to count pieces of paper quickly enough? Voting in person, having 100s or 1000s of districts scattered around the state seems like a lot more complex process... Joe
