Right after the '92 election, I said the same thing about Clinton, except I only said "smart" and not "cautious". Turned out he had a wild card named Hillary with her Federal healthcare project and later a girlfriend named Monica. Subtract Hillary and Monica, and Clinton could have been a great President. We don't know who or what forces could be Obama's wild cards.

I think Obama will govern from the middle. A very smart, cautious man who wants to succeed.
