A lot of people just want to have some hope again for something instead of total disgust with Washington's f'ups while the economy falls apart around our ears. Contrast the mumbling, ineffectual incumbent with someone who talks about action and uniting people to fix their real problems, and you are on to something exciting. The proof will be in the pudding, of course.
