You mean 'was trimming', past tense, since the report refers to the end of september when the stock was three times today's price ... seems likely the copper assets were on their minds when making that decision, turned out to be a smart move ... would they be dumping from this level, hmmm, i rather doubt it
For me it's about the a-wts, on which i haven't done so badly, playing the spread during times it was quite wide, became fond of the thing ... it sure takes up room on quotes pages though, the .to listing, .amex, and four warrants on .to [though i dropped the Cs and Ds, not interesting]
The only reason copper wouldn't start coming back in the foreseeable future, would be a world-wide catastrophe serious enough that losing a few bucks on a stock wouldn't matter ... ditto for zinc imho, and nickel ... it's probably true that PMs will do better in the near future, but that view has more and more become the conventional wisdom, once everybody believes it then pow, it's not true anymore |
