yeah but the tech downturn in 2001 was much worse than the tech downturn now. These tech companies basically have been in an L shaped recovery all decade except for a few areas like internet2.0 and search. L shaped recoveries don't crash like the peak to trough ones do. There is nowhere to fall. Yes some jobs will be lost but nothing like 01/02 when half the industry shut down. These guys have been consolidating this whole decade.
