What is the definition of 'extensive government control over the economy'? Who wants that?

It's the definition of that which is the issue. How do you define extensive?

Do you want the government to regulate the cleanliness of your water supply and that the stated weight on your package of cookies is accurate?

Exactly what politician in Washington is making the decision for you on what job you should have, what house you should buy or what kind of meal you should eat tonight?

"Sure people like to have power over things, so they are likely to grab such power."

Which leads to monopoly or oligopoly power in the market and the market no longer functions like it does in a text book. The problem with right wing thoughts about the economy is that they are grounded in thin air.

"Straw man. No one is campaigning against anti-fraud laws."

So you are ok with the government regulating the markets. Then what are you complaining about? You are complaining about your arbitrary assumption that the government is currently over regulating the markets. How do you know, objectively, that this is the case?

You are being completely ridiculous. Your primary purpose is to complain but you have no support for your assertions. You don't know what you want but you are darn sure that someone in the government is preventing you from having it.

That's not an argument, that's a tantrum.
