I heard something by him awhile back that as an independent, he felt less inclined to be totally partisan but instead represent his state. But Conn. is so solidly Dem that this made no sense to me. The interview last night with him, he said he would now weigh his options. He looked very deflated, and I, too, wondered what has he been thinking while backing McCain. The whole thing's bizarre.
