Obama: Mo Money = Mo Flation...
Obama stated that if the two step/lame duck session stimulus checks were not approved... don't worry & be happy, because he would be issuing them as one of his first acts as President.
That, on top of this...

And this...

And then there's also this...
Regarding the Fed sterilization/monetization debate:

Central banks are throwing everything (including the kitchen sink) against the deflationary winds of the bursting of the credit bubble.
If they are successful... Gold see's $1,000+
If they are successful, and don't remove the punchbowl fast enough, ... Gold see's $1,500.
If they aren't successful... we see DOW 6750.
If they aren't successful and we have another "Lehman" fail, ....we see DOW 5000.

PS: You almost have to sell the pops on the open any more, because trading moves that used to take weeks have now been compressed into days, and trading moves that used to unfold in days, now happen in hours.
...a damn guy can't even go out for a Starbucks any more.
PPS: Added some TCK (Teck Cominco) @ $9.35 this afternoon. ...looks cheap (but, what doesn't?), I like the FDG acquisition, and am looking for a bounce back to the mid-$12's where it rallied to on election day. It looks like it got shorted heavy with the coal plays, but buyers have been coming back in very strong on the dips. We'll see if we can get a short squeeze if this rally can stick.
PPPS: re: Hecla...
We got a bounce to $2.89, so I moved stops up to $2.65, then got 1/2 stopped out at $2.65... and then the final 1/2 at my original entry @ $2.45. Ended up making .10 cents/4%. Didn't chase any yesterday, or today.
Looks like their 6.9 million share dilution to acquire Independance Lead Mines didn't sit too well with a major holder. HL's volume has been huge the last two days. It may have bottomed today, but I added TCK instead. Will watch it and may add next week. |
