I didn't mean to be critical of the comment he made in any way...I just enjoy the new style of speaking. It is a contrast to Mr. Bush's more folksy tone.

Here's a little more on that topic:

The dog

We are, I think, going to hear a lot about the dog Obama promised his kids -- a "pressing" family issue -- and we heard a little about it today.

The criteria: It has to be hypoallergenic, but Obama would prefer to adopt from a shelter. The problem, he jokes, for allergy purposes, is that most shelter dogs are "mutts like me."
