<Re 56K intellectual property disputes>

And we think we have problems. Its interesting that major firms get themselves locked up in a p-----g contest when time is of the essence in exploiting a technology that may have a narrow window of applicabiltiy.

I hope the telcos get the message that agreeing to agree on the technical issues may save them all from oblivion. The demand for bandwith is going to be so intense that business and the public is going to go with the first available technology that is effective and affordable.

If the mgmt of the telcos would spend a few minutes of their time thinking about what their customers want, spend the money to provide it and less time and money putting the next global merger together, they would probably be more profitable and successfull longer term.

I WANT FASTER DATA!!! Through and Oracle 8 I hope.
