With all due respect of course: Obama voted liberal and will govern according to the libral philosophy. This idea that the center has better ideas than liberals is one I reject. e.g. the middle wants civil unions. Liberals and the gay community want full fledged marriage rights like anyone else. I am not gay, but they have my sympathies. I cannot think of one single issue where the middle philosophy is better than the liberal philosophy. The right wingers have been demogauging the liberal ideology for so long people think it is something to be scared of. e.g. The New Deal was a liberal philosophy. And Obama mentioned the New Deal today. Biden is liberal, Rahm Emanueal is a liberal, Teddy Kennedy is a liberal, Krugman is liberal. Caroline Kennedy is a liberal. So far I have yet to see him name a middle of the road person. And the country will be better off for it.
