Yes, Obama won narrow victories in a number of states. As we've seen in CA, it was the greater turnout of minority voters drawn by Obama which was the deciding factor in anti-gay marriage vote.

BTW similar measures were on ballots in other states and they all won too. In fact, such measures h/b on the ballot in 30 states and won in 30 states.

If votes against one's position ought to make one do soul searching, you should be doing soul searching on the gay marriage issue as your side has LOST repeatedly at the ballot box.
