I can say for certain no teacher in my kid’s school would ever try a stunt like that, because, I attend too many classes as a volunteer and my opinion of their love affair for the Democrat party is well known.
When I got wind of the Al Gore worshipping Global Warming nonsense last year, I let them know and they severely toned down the way it was presented. If they ever start teaching both points of view, I'll know I've made the right impression and the education of thousands of kids has improved. You have to be relentless with the school board, Principals and teachers of each school
If anyone tries to indoctrinate my kids they are going to get an ear full. Most of the teachers don't realize how much the kids tell their parents about what goes on in the classroom. Of course, you have to talk to your kids a lot and ask questions about the way things are presented, and you have to build a relationship with the teachers of your expectations. Most of the teachers may love the Democrat party and liberalism in general, but they love the kids more. And if a parent shows they care, they will bend over backwards to meet their needs. Most of my kids teachers email me weekly on updates, and I respond with a sincere thank you.
I'm not stupid enough to believe they don't roll their eyes at one another when I leave after making a point regarding course content, but I could care less. They can call me a pain in the ass as much as they like, as long as my kids get a good education.
Besides, most would be surprised how many people support your efforts and say so in private when meetings are broken up. The relentless drumbeat of the MSM has put a gag on too many conservative parents imho. |
