I did my service...40 years worth. It's called a "job". Mine actually was in the service industry, eg, medicine, but that has nothing to do with it.
Now that I am on SS, tho, I'm in favor of a law that makes you kiddies work a 48 hour week for 40 hours of pay and 8 hours going into accounts of hard working seniors. To honor us for our years of service.
It's time for me to be the slacker.
