and governments around the world have created roughly $6 trillion in various programs to deal with this problem. Two additional points to keep in mind, which much of the headline reporting fails to note: 1) Much of that 6T is authorised, not actually currently used, and 2) much of that which is currently in use is not the same as new money. It would be nice if some website dissected these details and showed the equivalent monetary products that have been created, and their current balances.
