<the repubs got stuck with a liberal candidate and a lot didn't go to the polls> True, but they apparently WANTED a liberal candidate... even the republicans wanted at least someone "moderate" apparently. That's why the argument about Obama only won by 7 points or whatever is deceiving... he practically ran against ANOTHER DEMOCRAT! Although McCain DID do a good job repeating the party line all the way through... I'll give him that. dAK
