I guess more accurate to say it can't be created at will Who knows.. Maybe one day there will be an act of modern day Alchemy, such as was experienced with the first artificial diamonds. Gold has already been artificially synthesized in a nuclear reactor: en.wikipedia.org So, for the sake of theoretical argument, let's say there some kind of breakthrough in the inexpensive transmutation of elements into a noble metal like gold, how would that alter your perspective of the value of gold as a storehouse of value? Would that not be the same as a "printing press"? Hawk
