That's right. The Mormon church has a habit of working behind the scenes in hopst of getting a world that fits their vision. And I don't particularly like their vision. Do you know that just 15-20 years ago, you were not allowed to drink wine if you were Mormon? As I understand it, if you ordered wine in a SLC restaurant, they served you grape juice. I don't drink a lot but I really have a problem with a church that gets that much into the faces of their parishioners.

The CBS news clip also mentions that black voters voted overwhelmingly for Prop. 8, yet the protesters aren't going after them.

From what I understand, gay leaders have been very critical of the black role in Prop. 8's passage.

What percentage of Californians are Mormon anyway? Probably less than that who are black.

The directive came from the mother church in SLC.
