We did so in the 70's, 80's and 90's. It took a real President in those days then. A President with tact, diplomacy and charm. NOt a President with cowboy tendencies where he raises a fist in the air at a global summit and says "Good bye from the world's biggest polluter." Now we have a President similar to those in the 70's era. someone with poise, grit and t he dignity to lead the world besides just leading America. And Mr. Medvedev could not have come at a better time to the Russian scene to restore his country's past Communist glory. He will certainly meet his match in a President Obama along with PM Gordon Brown and the other European leaders. Slacker, am I evoking your past memories about US glory?
