Our city manager wanted everyone to make at least 10 to 15% above all other cities our size so we would attract the best talent ( or so he said ). He gave himself a huge raise and now will have his retirement figured on his last couple years salary ( percentage there of ). He retired and somehow went back to work for the city and is making some ridiculous amount of money. Our city is now approaching BK so we are cutting back on numbers of employees...................cops, firemen, and the senior center is going to close......................but the city clerk still is making 175k ( 2 year degree requirement ). I think first year Kaiser MD's don't make more. It's all insane and I don't know where it's all going to end.
