First one must hold the desire to HAVE whatever their definition of 'rich' is. Most people only have the desire to spend whatever their definition of rich is.

If the person isn't rich today, the only sure way to get there, IMO, is to adopt a savings strategy and religiously stick with it. ... i.e. something about delayed gratification.

Ontopic: Part of my saving strategy is to invest my savins in undervalued chip stocks, undervalued Dow stocks, and some high growth areas. So far this year O'Shaughnessy has been right - buying the undervalued stuff has produced the best returns.
