Uhhhhh.....I don't think my first take was either. I clearly identified it within the context of a 'day of rest'.

You comments were in response to my question:

"Surely you wouldn't want the return of blue laws, for heaven's sake?"

Which sprang from our discussion on imposing religious standards re gays and in general.

That placed your whole post in the context of and about blue laws. If the blue context weren't enough to make me think you were promoting moral standards, you explicitly said:

"If nothing else, all the people working on Sunday could then be with their entire family or attending a church, or both. In fact, I have a real personal testimony of observing Sunday the way my Church proposes."

That blue laws may have some advantageous secular side effects does not take the "blue" out of them.

Anyway, I naturally thought you were talking about shutting down businesses on the Sabbath as a blue law as opposed to an ordinary law.
