I voted for Obama, as the lesser of 2 evils, but I am under no illusions. The libertarian in me is sceptical of big government solutions to economic problems.

Ron Paul is the only elected official I've heard who understands the severity of the global economic crisis.

It's hard to figure how Obama will govern. From a foreign policy point of view, he came off as a Dove against H.Clinton in the primary. During the national election against McCain, he came off as a modest Hawk.

I don't believe in Messiahs in any shape or form and Obama is no exception here. I expect the electorate to most likely turn on Obama by mid-April 2009. On the other hand, it's possible that Obama may actually implement a platform different from the one he was elected on.

If Obama pulls the troops out of Iraq quickly, cuts the military budget drastically, and doesn't start any more wars, I'll like him. I know I'm most likely dreaming here.

I voted for Obama because he seemed like less of a killer than McCain.
