I've been mostly off all grains since spring. I've eaten a few servings of oats and some incidental rice. I find I miss the comfort food warmth and texture of starches, sometimes more than others. When the craving gets too strong, I have eaten oat bran cooked with milk. I'm not experiencing anything that one could call withdrawal but I miss them.

Since Dr Davis is now saying I'm eating too much meat, I'm rather at a loss for something to eat. Piles of veggies are too much work to prepare myself plus they almost always leave me hungry and unsatisfied. Eating veggies out usually involves them being prepared in a way that leaves questions about what's in the, such as curry, which has unknown fats. I will have some gado gado for lunch today. I must remember to ask them what kind of oil they use.

Is that Mongolian BBQ place still at the International Market? If I lived where you do, that's where I'd eat every day.
