I go back to that bumper sticker I saw at the coal mine in Pennsylvania...."Ban Coal!!! Let them freeze in the dark".

And it's not only the whole coal thing, but also the refusal to use our own petroleum resources whether in Alaska or Utah or the coast of California.

Nothing would thrill me more than the U.S. being energy independent. I would love to see U.S. dollars stop flowing to the mideast and therefore removing any reason for the U.S. having any military presence over there. I truly believe that the entire culture would self destruct much more quickly if left to their own devices. With the U.S. over there, there is a common enemy to whom they can finally cooperate against.

The next few years should be pretty interesting....
