Re: "[tax increases?] Exactly who, and by exactly how much?"

How would I (or anyone) know that... considering that *no tax plan* has even been WRITTEN yet?

(New President and new Congress don't even get sworn until Jan 20th....) Bush didn't have any details to his tax proposals until that first Spring, as I remember. As per usual.

Re: "Will all investors owning stocks pay more in capital gains tax? If so, what will the rate be?"

Where have you been (during this recent campaign)?

They announced some months ago "no increase" (except possibly above the $250,000 income level... if memory serves). Announced they are *keeping* the Bush rates, but REDUCING the lowest rate even lower.

Re: "Will my SS taxes increase?"

The only 'plan' that I know of (campaign promise) was to ELIMINATE all federal income tax from Seniors receiving S.S., who make $50,000 or less.

(But I *do* expect that , whenever Congress finally works up the balls to address S.S. and Medicare long-term demographic imbalances... and who knows WHEN that will be, they've avoided it for decades already... that raising the income cap. will be one of the choices they will have to look at --- exactly as they did the last time under Reagan).

But, to be clear, there currently IS NO 'plan'. (More like *dozens* of different ones all over the place.)

Believe it's possible that someone has been *scaring* you.
