Well I think that what happened was that people were able to save a lot during the war, because they had work, but nothing to spend their money on. After the war this mountain of savings combined with the industrial might created in part by the war is what fueled the recovery. So I wuld say that savings and investment pulled us out. But who can say for sure. Little joe
