Well, both parties are corrupt, I won't deny that. However, the Bush doctrine wrt the financial industry is to bail every one of them out to the tune of close to a trillion dollars and send ever failed CEO home with millions. So the very people that caused all this mess are getting enriched further. That sickens me.

Then when some politicians ask for bailouts of companies that might actually save millions of jobs for the middle class and poor, they are told that it's socialism. I'm really tired of hearing the hypocrites blather on about socialism when the Bush Administration along with a complicit Congress has presided over the greatest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in the history of the United States, not to mention the wrecking of our economy.

What has happened over the last 8 years as our debt has ballooned from $4 trillion to $10 trillion under Bush has been wholesale rape. It's no wonder many fiscal conservative Republicans like me no longer identify with this party.

And here's another thing, I hear the Republican leadership wants to regroup around the sanctity of marriage. What a clueless bunch of idiots. Why don't they rebuild the party around fiscal conservatism and small government? That's why many of us abandoned them in the first place. I couldn't give a rat's ass what a gay couple is doing, but I do care about my retirement disappearing and this massive debt we're acquiring to leave behind to my children and grandkids. Shows you how screwed up the Republican priorities are.
