Company Shipping EDGE and WCDMA Power Amplifiers for Compact Wide-Area USB Modem

WARREN, N.J., Nov. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ANADIGICS, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANAD - News) today announced that production volumes of it's AWT6155, AWT6221 and AWT6241 power amplifiers (PAs) are being shipped to Sierra Wireless for use in the Compass(TM) 885 USB Modem. The Compass 885 features a compact USB design and microSD(TM) slot that offers a seamless high-speed connectivity for both Mac and Windows notebook and desktop computers on HSUPA networks.

The Compass 885 is Sierra Wireless' smallest HSPA USB modem with advanced features that include Sierra Wireless TRU-install(TM) for easy, automatic software installation, and an expandable microSD(TM) slot to conveniently transfer multimedia between computer and phone. The Compass 885 USB modem is compatible with 3G networks worldwide, allowing world travelers to stay connected with the ability to roam.
