If this is the case then all other manufacturers of Audio & Graphics cards had better jump ship now. I don't think so !! This company is responsible for putting Audio on millions of desktops, admittedly they've got it wrong on several occasions, but not with audio. The new Internet Ready line-up of soundblaster products coupled with the imminent launch of AWE64 heralds a new era in PC audio. The so called hi-end will in-fact become the accepted low-end standard i.e. wavetable & 3D spatial audio This company has never got it wrong with audio. Furthermore it has tightened it's belt and in my mind is going to further strengthen it's current leading position. Don't be fooled, this is going to turn good !! And hey, if 3D Blaster PCI is a success, then that's a bonus.
