Al, > Maybe possible with SS, but how do you do that with medicare? One serious illness will quickly bankrupt a self sufficient retiree. Everyone will have to share the cost of health insurance. If some can't afford it, they should seek assistance from the government. Beyond that, there are many ways to reform health care and reduce the costs.
