The question is why guys like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd couldn't "get their mind around it" until it was too late. Jeez nobody got their mind around it. Not treasury, not the fed, not the press, few of the 1000's of economists, it seems not even the players 'in the game' and CEOs in the middle of it. That's a big part of what so shocking. We were all on a run away train and didn't even notice.
