How is this for a "bailout package" for the US auto industry:

i worry about how detroit makes effective use of any incentives, loans or otherwise. Their brand is so damaged... Their cars are dull...they need a Carlos Ghosn Nissan style turn around, with stronger focus away from big battle ships of course, but a serious injection of "european" flare in the smaller cars they produce....and quality inside and out of course. The old dogs running these companies are likely to go back to what they are familiar with and fall short again...with our money this time.
