Hawkmoon,

God your drivel is getting annoying. Your basic point that civilian aviation profited from government spending on military aviation is certainly true, but the arguments you provide in support of this position are pathetic, e.g.

There simply was little private market inducement to build military aircraft without government contracts.

Well, duh. No one was going to build the planes and give them to the government for free (i.e. without contracts). And the government would certainly not take kindly to a private citizen building warplanes for his or her own use.

Could you please put a little thought into your posts before subjecting the rest of us to them?
