Still no one on the left will address the lifting of the FICA cap on income above $250K. Cause you know, individuals making $250K or more can "afford"

I can doing away with payroll taxes, and just having income taxes. Instead of having one regressive tax and one very progressive tax, we just have one flat tax, probably one that is made more "progressive" in its effect by including a large standard deduction.

But perhaps the transition problems would be larger than the gain.
