It was a direct answer to your question, "But you do agree that we need to care for our elders through SS and to provide health care for them, yes?"

Nowhere did I say, "Hey, let's do nothing." I have no idea how you got that out of my post.

Lots of ways to reform Social Security, and they all have their pros and cons. Including what Bush proposed at the beginning of his administration.

But I have no desire to share some of my ideas with someone who will misrepresent anything that doesn't involve a vast expansion of current government.
