I actually think it probably *is* a poor time to short the *market*. However, I see a ton of stocks that still have a lot to give; they will fail as others bounce in the mini-bull that is likely to come. There are also dozens of zeroes out there, and they will slide into the bankruptcy courts regardless of what the market as a whole does. I have no experience with this - I'm hoping we can locate some who do. But I expect that, as long as the economy is tanking, many foolishly debt-laden companies are going to be going under.
