Bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a question of priorities. We can afford billions of dollars in "defense", but can't afford to care for our parents.

Few people, except extremists like you and others here, would suggest that we ought to subprioritize national defense. It is obviously the most important function of our government, and until the safety of our people can guaranteed with certainty, EVERYTHING else is secondary.

Even the suggestion that our government should have a higher priority than defense reeks of stupidity. Our Constitution provides for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness -- none of these can exist without first having a strong defense. It has been that way since 1776.
