And TJ.. I put a lot more credibility in John Mauldin's analysis than I would in yours.

And he's directly pointing to emerging market debt as a TREMENDOUS issue for European banks (well over $3 Trillion compared to $500 Billion by US banks):

Spain, alone, as $1 Trillion in exposure to Latin American debt, whereas Italy has its butt hanging out with its loan to Eastern Europe.

The blowup in Iceland is threatening to cost Europe $75 Billion all by itself.

Yeah.. it's truly bad in the US financial system, but when compared to case of financial "pneumonia" in Europe, what's happening on Wall Street is barely a cold.

Do you think none of this will impact China, or the rest of the emerging markets?
