Neither Bernanke nor Paulson really know what they're doing. Maybe one of these expensive experiments they're conducting will eventually pan out, but as I see it, the economy is facing a roadblock much larger than any it faced during the Great Depression - a massive deleveraging of a historically-overleveraged financial system caused by letting the marginal reserve system get completely out of control.
