Blind faith that the US is always right is silly. God gave us a brain to use for critical thinking, not to just abdicate our responsibility to think to others. Blind faith in the GOP is also silly. Neither the US nor the GOP is infallible. We've been reminded of that shockingly over the last 8 years.

I'll tell you one place the US has been wrong consistently. We claim we're for Democracy and we push that agenda worldwide. And yet, we support the Saudi King and supported Musharraf, a de facto, dictator in Pakistan, not to mention many other dictators throughout the Middle East. The US does what is expedient to secure its interests. If we thought long term, we'd judge others less, be less arrogant in our dealings with other countries, and refuse to support dictators.

Instead of criticizing the Democrats, you should be demanding the GOP gets its act together and start standing for policies that solve our problems, instead of creating bigger ones.
