Expect exactly the same pattern here --- so-called "Main Stream" media does not usually post personal stuff like these stories until someone posts first, at which point, (if I understand the rationale they usually give) the "story has become part of the national dialog" and so other media outlets run their own stories.
Same is already happening here... I can see stories about 'ENGUIRER and Cindy McCain' popping up at other outlets. Boston, L.A., Washington, etc.

(Well... at least acknowledged - by the participants - as 'part truth'. Affair acknowledged, the other allegation still denied and unconfirmed.)

As you know I ALREADY POSTED the claim (by one unverified Internet posting...) that she was 'in Kosovo'.
As far as 'obvious lie' I haven't the slightest idea - (& I doubt you do either).
But this fishwrap outlet has a LONG history of posting stuff like this: Gonna Rice / Gary Hart, Tom Foley, Senator 'Wide Stance', John Edwards, Sarah Palin, and now Cindy McCain.... |
