As I said in my preamble, I wonder if congressional republicans who were all in favor of a strong executive when Bush was in office will now feel the same way. If they were voting on principle before, then they will probably agree with you and we won't hear McConnell or Boehner complaining about a lack of congressional involvement or oversight.
