Which is another way of saying "Social Security spending is associated with a tax that's also called "Social Security". That's true but not very meaningful in terms of calculating how expensive social security spending is. The tax is just the way to cover the large expense, not a way to make it disappear or reasonably not count in budget calculations.

You've lost me. What point are you trying to make?
