Each company is free to address the revenue recognition issue with distis based on their own discretion, as long as they're consistent. In my former life, I was a disti salesman and my firm carried 100+ franchised lines. There was a mix of approaches to revenue among them. Intel, of course, only records the revenue when the disti sells it out. Before that, we reserve the revenue on our books. Regards, John Hull Intel Corp.
