You overestimate the costs. It's only $98B a year, which would be an increase from the $23B a year we are already committed to. We spend that in 9 months in Iraq.

Having said that, if it were me, I'd focus on lifting Americans out of poverty first. That is where my loyalty lies. Either way, this is small potatoes in the face of the $6 trillion in new debt we've acquired in large part to Bush and Republican incompetence.
